Auditory Working Memory: A Comparison Study in Adults with Normal Hearing and Mild to Moderate Hearing Loss

Our student Rinu Annie Roy, Master in Clinical Audiology and Hearing Therapy, is a Clinical Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist in American Mission Hospital (Manama, Bahrain), she has also experience as a clinical supervisor and assistant lecturer for undergraduate students of speech language pathology and audiology.

 

Her Master’s Thesis  Auditory Working Memory: A Comparison Study in Adults with Normal Hearing and Mild to Moderate Hearing Loss examines current literature on auditory working memory (AWM) and provides a brief overview about working memory associated with various communication disorders in adults.

 

The purpose of this study is to compare the auditory working memory capacity (AWMC) in normal hearing adults and adults with mild to moderate hearing loss using digit span tasks from WAIS- IV.
